Club Caller

Jolly and Alice started square dance lessons in 1981 shortly after that Jolly started calling in 1982.  

They have attended 3 callers schools: Ron Everhart, Stan Burdick, and Don Williamson.

Jolly is the club caller for the Grand Spinners, Crown City Squares and Limberlost Squares.

He has called in 6 different states plus Canada.

They have 4 sons whom we took with us to all the dances and schools when they were young.  One of the took lessons and another learned by watching, although neither dance now.  

They have been married for 36 years and enjoy spending time with their sons and 4 beautiful daughters-in law,   2 granddaughters and one grandson.  

Club Cuer

Judy and Dave Mouton

Judy and her family learned to square dance in 1975 while living in Dale City , Virginia .

They took lessons from Bill Harrison in Woodbridge, Virginia .  Bill is now a well known square dance caller from Maryland .

Judy learned to round dance in 1977 while living in Heidelberg , Germany.  Her teachers were Richard and Susan Perry, cuers for the Heidelberg Hoedowners.  In 1978 Judy took a 1 week cueing course at a square and round dance week sponsored by the Heidelberg Hoedowners at the armed forces resort, Lake Chimsee, Germany.  The instructors for the cuer course were Claudia Heil and Debbie Williams.  Judy and her family moved back to the USA in July of 1979 to Fort Knox , KY and moved to Hartford City in October 1980.

Judy became active in cueing rounds in 1981 as a guest cuer and in 1989 became the club cuer for the Christmas City Squares in Marion, IN. She also taught basic round dance lessons and intermediate workshops for Christmas City .

In 1989 Judy met Dave Mouton at a square dance in New Haven , IN. Their first date was attendance at Butch and Nancy Tracey’s Dinner Dance in Fort Wayne .  Dave began helping Judy teach rounds in Marion in 1990.  In 1991 Judy and Dave started their round dance club “Sweetheart Rounds” which met in the upstairs room of the Jones Building in Dunkirk.  They graduated their first class on February 20, 1992 .  On April 29, 1993 Judy and Dave held their first rounds dinner dance at the Elks Club in Hartford City with 32 couples in attendance.
